Well, David and I seemed to come down with a stomach virus Friday night/Saturday morning. Stayed in bed ALL day Saturday, spent today watching football... GO COWBOYS!!! But we're fine now, just needed a couple days to rest. Gracie was "dancing" in my belly the whole time, so we know she's okay! It's so funny; we can play "tag" with her! I'll figure out where she's kicking the most, and tap there a little bit, and she'll tap back! Then I'll move a few inches and push a couple times, and she'll push back there! Its very cool. (:D)
Well, I am making my first pot roast today (I've been slaving over the crockpot for the last 7 hours, haha yeah right) and it's almost done!
After a 16-month hiatus (let's just call it chaos, shall we?), I'm back to blogging. I'm now going to post lots of ideas, recipes, stories, etc. as they occur to me. I'll still keep you updated on the family, and post pictures. Enjoy! We love you all, David, Sara, Gracie, Susanna & Evelyn

30-week appointment
It went well. Everything looks great. Had a sonogram, which showed that Gracie is measuring within a day of her due date, so that's good. She didn't cooperate in getting any clear profile pictures, but we got a few of her face. Her heart rate was great at 140. My blood pressure was normal at 120/80, and I gained about 5 pounds in 4 weeks, which is great, considering how much I lost in the first trimester. Still looking at an estimated due date of December 8th. All in all, having a very average pregnancy, which is exactly what we want!
After today I start having checkups every two weeks (always on Tuesdays), and after my 36th week appt, I'll go every week. So we're getting down to crunch time!

Weekend
Well, this weekend was alright. Let's see...
Saturday was pretty uneventful, with Gracie not being very active. We had to drive to David's office at 6am to clear an on-call alarm, and then went to breakfast with Greg and Sherrie. Went to CVS to take a (horrible) passport photo for my new work badge, then to the mall to buy me some slacks for work. Then home for awhile, then dinner at Spring Creek BBQ with Greg and Sherrie, then up to their house to watch 300 in HD. We left early, though, because we'd been up since 6am. Sunday, didn't do much at all. Gracie wasn't very active that day, either. David woke me up with cinnamon rolls in bed (aaw!) and we watched Field of Dreams on tv (GREAT movie). Then I got online and researched a new stroller I heard about while we both watched the Philly-Detroit game (what was up with those ridiculous uniforms the Eagles were wearing?! Gross). Then I got ready and we went over to Mark and Brandi's with Bryan to watch the Cowboy game (3-0, woohoo!). We were talking about baby names, and got on the subject of a boy name (we're already preparing for baby #2!), and David and I's favorite so far is "Landon Michael Nichols" (we already decided that the middle name would be Michael, after David's dad). I actually love "Gabriel", but David doesn't like it very much. Oh well. Maybe I can warm him up to it in the next year or so, hehe. Watch us jinx ourselves with another girl. Haha. Let's just get through this one first, okay? (That would be David talking!)
Well, that was a typical Nichols family weekend. Yay for my 'Boys, 3-0, baby! Playing St. Louis next Sunday... psh, that's an easy win. I like it on top of the NFC East, it should stay that way. (;P)Gracie's up and crazy this morning, so I think she's gearing up for another growth spurt. She must have been resting all weekend from her previous one. Going to the doctor tomorrow at 10:15am, and getting another sonogram done, so YAY! More pictures! It's my 30 weeks appointment, and after tomorrow, I'll start going in every two weeks. Getting close!

Ranger Game
Well we enjoyed the Ranger game last night (thanks for the tickets, Dad). Got our picture taken as we were leaving.
I am HUGE! Went over to Mom's yesterday evening before the game and the first thing she said to me was, "Wow, you are huge pregnant!" I just thought, "Gee, thanks, Mom". But now I believe her! Gross... I hope I lose all this weight quickly after Gracie's born. I've never weighed this much in my life! Ugh... and to think that only 10 months ago I was a size 4! Ah! I will so get there again, you just watch.
Had a relaxing day today, and am about to go to bed. Gracie hasn't been that active the last few days. I think she just finished a big growth spurt, and is resting up for her next one. My ribs can't WAIT! Haha...

Gracie's Babysites Guestbook
We originally made a babysite for Gracie, to journal about the last few months of pregnancy and to share pictures of her birth. In May of 2008, when she was five months old, I discovered that Blogspot was easier to work with and didn't have a picture or post limit, so I transferred all the journal entries and pictures to this Blogspot blog. The babysite also had a guestbook, in which friends and family wrote notes to Gracie during the last trimester of my pregnancy and on the day of her birth. I wanted to make sure that was also preserved on this blog so that Gracie could read them one day. Thank you to everyone who left such nice words, they are very special! Here it is:

Congratulations!! Glad all of you are doing well. Enjoy the snuggling and hugging and that wonderful baby smell, that is when she's clean ;o) and treasure every moment. You'll have rough nights and times you wondered why in the world you had this baby, but hopefully when you look back in years to come you'll only remember the wonderful times and precious moments.

I know Celine Dion's song is about falling in love, but the words always make me think of the way I felt when my children were born:
Have you ever been in love
You could touch the moonlight
When your heart is shooting stars
You're holding heaven in your arms
Have you ever been so in love
Have you ever walked on air
Ever felt like you were dreamin'
When you never thought it could
But it really feels that good
Have you ever been so in love
The time I spent waiting for something
That was heaven sent
When you find it don't let goI know...
Have you ever said a prayer
And found that it was answered
All my hope has been restored
And I ain't looking anymore
Have you ever been so in loveHave you
Little Gracie, may God watch over you as you grow and may your Mommy & Daddy never forget the wonder and beauty of your birth.

Hello little Gracie, we can't wait until you get here! You are such a special little girl and you are going to be so loved. Can't wait to see your little face and hold you and watch you grow. Your mommy and daddy are so lucky to have you and you are so very lucky to have them. You are already loved more than you will ever know, and your special little life has already changed everyone's life around you in such a good way. Mommy and Daddy have picked a pretty little crib and everything for you, but get ready little girl, because you'll hardly be in it at all! You're going to be held and loved and admired so much, you won't know what to do! Grow strong while you're still in Mommy, because you'll need your strength as we welcome you, just like Mommy will need hers. And if you wouldn't mind, maybe not so many kicks, you little stinker. ;)We love you and can't wait to see how beautiful and precious you are!

Hi Gracie, I can't believe your mom is old enough to have a little one of her own. Your Nana Laura is my age and we couldn't possibly be old enough to be grandmas. But I'm so glad you're on the way. Be prepared to be spoiled. If you decide you like jewelry, I'm the one to have around. I can make you all kinds of cool beaded things until you're old enough to make them with me. I'm also ready to share the greatest kids books in the whole world with you. See you soon little one. Love, Donna
